Homicide in Crest Hill Claims Life of Lockport Township Man

LOCKPORT, IL – A homicide investigation is underway in Lockport Township, Illinois, after a tragic shooting in neighboring Crest Hill. 

Uarl Hunter, a 31-year-old resident of Lockport Township, was pronounced deceased on November 25th following an incident on Elizabeth Court in Crest Hill. Crest Hill Police Officers, responding to the scene around 3:12 p.m., found Mr. Hunter with multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital by Lockport Township Fire Department Medics but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

The Will County Coroner’s Office, after an autopsy conducted on November 26th, confirmed that Hunter suffered from multiple gunshot wounds. The final cause and manner of death are pending further investigation.

The Crest Hill Police Department, in collaboration with the Will/Grundy Major Crimes Task Force, is diligently working on the case.
