Marion, IN – A multi-agency drug investigation led to the seizure of methamphetamine, fentanyl, and MDMA Thursday after detectives executed two search warrants in Marion, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives with the Marion Police Department, J.E.A.N. Team Drug Task Force, and Grant County Sheriff’s Office searched homes at 1427 W. 10th Street and 3750 S. Adams Street. Authorities say the operation also involved the Grant County Prosecutor’s Office and Marion Police Emergency Response Team.
Evidence seized included approximately 700 grams of methamphetamine, 496 grams of MDMA tablets, 69 fentanyl-laced pills, and additional narcotics such as cocaine and marijuana, officials reported.
Three individuals were arrested in connection with the investigation:
- Darrell Blackwell, 41, of Chicago – charged with multiple felony counts, including dealing methamphetamine and possession of controlled substances.
- Marquita Thomas, 41, of Marion – charged with dealing methamphetamine, possession, and obstruction of justice.
- Omyzhanae Thomas, 20, of Marion – charged with neglect of a dependent and marijuana possession.
The sheriff’s office confirmed that the investigation remains active and additional charges may follow.
“All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law,” the agency said in its release.
