Miami, Florida – Thunderstorms could roll into Miami as early as 8 a.m. Tuesday, bringing a 50% chance of rain and lightning just in time for the morning commute.

According to the National Weather Service in Miami, a humid air mass and southeast winds will push showers and scattered thunderstorms into the region Tuesday morning, especially between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. Commuters using I-95 and US-1 through Miami-Dade County should prepare for slick roads, brief downpours, and limited visibility. Winds could reach 13 mph with highs near 86°F.

Rain chances persist through Tuesday night, with a 30% likelihood of lingering showers. While rainfall totals remain uncertain, drivers are urged to allow extra travel time and avoid flooded intersections. Pack an umbrella and charge devices before heading out.

Conditions moderate slightly Wednesday, though a 50% chance of showers and storms remains through the day. Drier air pushes in by Thursday morning, bringing lower rain chances and more sunshine through the end of the week.

Warm and muggy conditions will continue, with highs near 86°F each afternoon. Rain chances taper to 20–30% by Friday, though isolated storms remain possible.
