MORRIS, IL – Tragedy struck Sunday afternoon on Route 6 near Gun Club Road as a fatal multiple vehicle accident resulted in the loss of one life.
According to officials, it happened just before 2 p.m., prompted a swift response from the Morris Fire Protection and Ambulance District, along with the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office. The Grundy County Coroner’s Office was also called to the scene to investigate the tragic event.
The identity of the victim is pending notification of next of kin.
As the investigation continues, Route 6 remains closed in both directions to ensure a thorough reconstruction of the accident.
