Dodge City, KS – Residents across southwest Kansas can expect several more days of warm, dry weather before a slight shift brings storm chances this weekend.
According to the National Weather Service in Dodge City, no precipitation is forecast through Saturday. Temperatures will remain above seasonal averages, with highs in the lower 80s early in the week before warming into the upper 80s by midweek. Some locations could briefly reach the lower 90s on Friday.
The next chance of unsettled weather arrives Saturday night, when forecasters say small chances for showers and thunderstorms will develop. Until then, mostly clear skies and dry air will dominate the region, allowing for comfortable mornings and warm afternoons.
This pattern is expected to keep travel and outdoor activities largely unaffected during the workweek. Farmers and ranchers in western and central Kansas may also welcome the stretch of dry weather for harvest and field work.
The NWS will continue to monitor the developing weekend system and provide updates as rain and storm chances become clearer.
