Fort Worth, TX – A midweek storm system will bring severe weather risks and fire concerns to North Texas on Wednesday, with isolated thunderstorms expected along and east of I-35.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, storms will develop Wednesday afternoon into the evening, with a 30-40% chance of thunderstorms. Some storms could be severe, producing large hail and damaging winds, particularly in areas east of I-35, including Palestine and Paris.

Behind the front, dry and gusty winds will increase the fire danger west of I-35, particularly in areas like Graham and Comanche, where temperatures are expected to reach the low 80s. An elevated fire threat is in place due to very dry air moving in after the storms.

Residents should remain weather-aware and monitor forecasts for updates. Those in areas prone to severe weather should secure outdoor items and review emergency plans, while those in fire-prone regions should avoid activities that could spark flames.
