Chicago, IL – Seasonable, breezy conditions will continue across the Chicago area through midweek before two rounds of rain move in to close out the week, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) Chicago.
Tuesday will be partly sunny and breezy with highs in the low to mid-60s and overnight lows in the upper 40s to low 50s. Winds could gust up to 35 mph Wednesday, though skies will remain mostly sunny with temperatures again in the 60s.
Clouds increase Thursday as a frontal system approaches, bringing a 50–70% chance of rain by nightfall. Showers are expected to continue into early Friday morning before tapering off by midday. Another chance for light rain returns Saturday, with cooler highs in the upper 40s to mid-50s and lows dipping into the 30s.
Forecasters say mild temperatures near Lake Michigan will keep conditions relatively stable through midweek, but weekend travelers should plan for wet roads and cooler air.
