Tower City, ND – A 57-year-old woman from Oriska suffered serious injuries Sunday afternoon after her pickup truck left the roadway north of Tower City, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Authorities said the crash happened around 1:25 p.m. Sunday, October 5, near the intersection of 132nd Avenue Southeast and 30th Street, about three miles north of Tower City. The 2003 Ford F-350, pulling a gooseneck flatbed trailer, was traveling north when the driver allegedly failed to negotiate a curve, crossed the median, and came to rest in a field.
According to the Highway Patrol, the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Emergency crews from the Barnes County and Cass County Sheriff’s Offices, Tower City Fire Department, Page Ambulance Service, and Barnes County Ambulance responded to the scene.
The woman was transported by ambulance to Sanford Medical Center–Fargo with serious injuries.
Authorities said road and weather conditions were dry, and the crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
