LOGANSPORT, IN – A Twelve Mile woman was convicted Wednesday of multiple child sex crimes following a two-day trial in Cass Circuit Court, prosecutors announced.
According to Cass County Prosecutor Noah Schafer, 38-year-old Amanda Sayger was found guilty on all charges, including conspiracy to commit child molesting, assisting in the commission of child molesting, promotion of child sex trafficking, and neglect. Jurors deliberated less than two hours before reaching their verdict.
The case stemmed from an investigation led by Detective Jason Rozzi of the Logansport Police Department. Investigators determined that Sayger arranged sexual encounters between a 13-year-old and a 36-year-old man in exchange for money. During those encounters, the juvenile was allegedly given alcohol and THC gummies.
Chief Deputy Prosecutor Tom Lupke said Sayger’s testimony contradicted prior statements and was disproven by evidence and witness testimony, including that of the victim.
“We’re very grateful to the jury for listening to the difficult evidence in this case,” Schafer said in a statement, commending Detective Rozzi’s investigation and the victim’s courage.
Sayger is scheduled to be sentenced by Cass Circuit Court Judge Stephen Kitts on November 20. She faces a maximum sentence of more than 300 years in prison.
