Brevard County, FL – A Brevard County man’s post-cruise trip reportedly ended with an arrest after federal authorities allegedly discovered videos depicting sexual acts involving animals, officials said Tuesday.

According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Anthony Ridings was stopped by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers after disembarking from a cruise ship. Agents allegedly found adult videos involving animals on his device, though no child pornography was discovered.

Investigators with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit were called to the port to continue the inquiry. During questioning, Ridings allegedly told agents he did not know such videos were illegal and claimed he saved them for their “shock value,” authorities said.

Officials said that Ridings faces 15 counts of possession of material depicting sexual activities involving animals, with warrants signed by Judge Laura Moody. The U.S. Marshals Task Force reportedly took Ridings into custody earlier Tuesday in Daytona Beach.

Sheriff Wayne Ivey said in a statement that Ridings was booked into the Brevard County Jail on a $300,000 bond. Ivey urged residents to remain vigilant about reporting illegal online content, adding that digital forensics teams were still analyzing additional evidence.

The sheriff’s office reminded residents to celebrate New Year’s Eve responsibly, noting that drinking and driving could quickly turn celebration into arrest.
