Bourbonnais, IL – The Village of Bourbonnais invites residents to showcase their holiday spirit in the fifth annual Holiday Homes & Holly Jolly Lighting Contest. Registration is now open through Monday, Dec. 2 at 4:30 p.m., encouraging community members to illuminate the village with festive displays.
Participants can choose to compete in either Traditional (official judging) or People’s Choice (Facebook voting) categories. Homes will be displayed on an online map for public viewing from Dec. 6 to Dec. 25, with winners announced through Facebook. According to the Village of Bourbonnais, prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place in each category.
Residents can register online, in person at the Administration Office, or via mail. Each registered home will receive a yard sign with an entry number for easy identification during judging and voting. Entries must reside within the village limits, and no commercial or professional light installations are allowed. For more details, residents may contact Lindy Casey at the Village office.
