Boulder County, CO: Arrest Made in U.S. 36 Road Rage Shooting Near Superior

Boulder County, CO – A Boulder man was arrested Sunday night in connection with a road rage shooting that took place on U.S. Highway 36 near Superior, according to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident happened around 5:47 p.m. on October 25, when a white Toyota Corolla and a white Ford Fusion were reportedly involved in a traffic dispute while traveling toward Denver. Deputies said the driver of the Corolla brandished what appeared to be a gun and fired a single shot, shattering the Ford’s driver-side window and causing minor injuries to the driver.

Investigators identified the suspect as Cameron Michael Jackson, 35, of Boulder, after tracing the Corolla to an apartment complex on the 3500 block of Nottingham Court. A warrant was issued for Jackson’s arrest, and with the help of the Boulder Police SWAT Team, he was taken into custody without incident around 9:00 p.m. on October 26.

Jackson was booked into the Boulder County Jail on charges including second-degree assault with a weapon, menacing, and criminal mischief. Authorities said the case remains under active investigation.
