Aurora, IL – A crash on Interstate 88 has shut down traffic near the Farnsworth Avenue exit Friday evening as the Illinois State Police respond to the scene and work to clear the roadway.
According to the Aurora Police Department, all lanes at the Farnsworth Exit are currently closed while troopers investigate the crash and remove damaged vehicles. It’s not yet known how long the closure will last or whether any injuries have been reported.
Officials are urging motorists to seek alternative routes until the highway reopens. Drivers traveling through the Aurora area should expect significant delays during the evening commute.
