Armed Robbery Foiled at Palos Heights 7-Eleven, Suspects Arrested in Indiana

Palos Heights, IL – Police stopped an attempted armed robbery at a 7-Eleven early Friday, arresting the suspects in Indiana.

A Palos Heights officer patrolling near 135th Street saw an armed man inside the store at 2:16 a.m. The suspect pointed a handgun at the clerk before fleeing out the back. The officer saw the suspects escape in a black Chrysler 200 heading west on 135th Street.

The officer stopped the vehicle, but the female driver sped away when ordered to exit. The pursuit led into Indiana, where Hammond police intercepted the car. Officers took both the female driver and the second armed suspect into custody.

According to police, the suspects targeted multiple locations before the 7-Eleven. The robbery was interrupted, and no money or merchandise was stolen.

Authorities believe the suspects may be linked to additional crimes across jurisdictions. The investigation remains active with multiple agencies involved.
