Dover, DE – A Michigan man was arrested at the Phish Mondegreen Festival in Dover on Saturday, facing multiple drug-related charges. Delaware State Police took 41-year-old Douglas Gallagher of Ann Arbor into custody after a search at a festival security checkpoint uncovered various illicit substances in his vehicle.
The incident occurred on August 17, 2024, when Gallagher allegedly fled the checkpoint after security discovered suspected narcotics. According to authorities, Gallagher returned shortly after, at which point troopers detained him. A subsequent investigation led officers to a campsite where Gallagher had hidden a plastic container filled with drugs, including LSD, ketamine, and MDMA.
Among the items seized from Gallagher’s vehicle were approximately 46.10 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 42.46 grams of marijuana, and 19 LSD tabs. Gallagher now faces multiple felony charges, including possession of controlled substances in Tier 1 and Tier 3 quantities. He was arraigned and released after posting a $5,250 secured bond.
Gallagher’s arrest highlights ongoing efforts by Delaware State Police to maintain safety at large public events, particularly those involving high attendance and potential drug activity.
