Pendleton, NY – Authorities have identified the motorcyclist killed in a Friday afternoon crash at an intersection in Niagara County as the investigation into what happened continues.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff ’s Office, the fatal collision occurred at approximately 3:03 p.m. Friday at Lockport Road and Wheatfield Pendleton Townline Road in the town of Pendleton.
The sheriff’s office identified the motorcycle operator as 64 year old Robert L. Burdick Jr. of Lockport . Authorities said Burdick was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators also identified the driver of the other vehicle, a 2021 Audi , as a 56 year old woman from Williamsville.
The sheriff’s office did not provide additional details in its latest update about how the collision occurred or what investigators believe may have contributed to it.
No information about citations or charges was announced.
The crash occurred in Pendleton, a Niagara County community northeast of Buffalo and south of Lockport. The intersection connects Lockport Road with Wheatfield Pendleton Townline Road, making the incident relevant to motorists traveling through the surrounding Niagara County area.
The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Unit continues to investigate the fatal collision.
