According to the National Weather Service in New York, Friday will bring sunshine and a high near 69 degrees, but gusty winds and a shift in wind direction will help usher in cooler conditions heading into the weekend.
Southwest winds of 10 to 16 mph will become northwesterly during the morning, with gusts potentially reaching 28 mph. Residents spending time outdoors should prepare for breezy conditions despite the relatively mild temperatures.
Friday Night Brings the Cooldown

The coldest stretch arrives Saturday night, when temperatures are expected to fall to around 44 degrees across the Central Park forecast area.
