Lima, NY – A 45 year old Lima man was arrested on felony and misdemeanor charges following an investigation into a violation of an Order of Protection, according to a report released Tuesday, September 8, 2026, by the Livingston County Sheriff 's Office.
The investigation began when deputies responded to a residence in the Town of Lima at approximately 7:10 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2026, regarding a report that an Order of Protection had been violated. Authorities allege that Bill Weston, 45, made contact with a person for whom an Order of Protection had been issued, which explicitly prohibited such contact.
On Sunday, September 6, 2026, Sergeant Mike Donals located and arrested Weston. He was subsequently charged with felony Aggravated Family Offense and misdemeanor Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree. Weston was transported to the Livingston County Jail, where he underwent arrest processing and pre arraignment detention.
Weston was later arraigned before Village of Geneseo Justice Bushnell at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part. While the District Attorney’s Office had recommended $10,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond, the judge remanded Weston to the custody of the Sheriff on $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond. Both the Livingston County Public Defender’s Office and the District Attorney’s Office were present for the proceedings.
