According to the National Weather Service in Omaha/Valley, the greatest severe thunderstorm potential is concentrated across southeastern Nebraska and southwestern Iowa, where portions of the region are under Level 1 and Level 2 severe weather risks.
Storms developing Tuesday could produce damaging winds, hail and locally heavy rainfall. The forecast indicates a 60% chance of precipitation, with afternoon temperatures ranging from 57 to 69 degrees.
Residents in communities including Omaha, Nebraska City and Council Bluffs, Iowa, should monitor conditions as thunderstorms develop, although the strongest storms are more likely farther south and east.
