Hastings, NE – Temperatures will peak in the low to mid 80s Tuesday, Oct. 6, around south central Nebraska before settling back into the 70s later in the workweek.
The National Weather Service in Hastings said Sunday that pleasant conditions and plenty of sunshine are expected during the upcoming workweek. Tuesday is forecast to be the warmest day, with highs ranging from 82 to 86 degrees across the area.
Monday starts the week sunny and cooler, with highs of 74 to 78 degrees. South winds of 15 to 25 mph are expected.
Winds become lighter Tuesday as temperatures climb. The NWS forecasts variable winds of 5 to 10 mph along with the week's warmest afternoon temperatures.
Wednesday remains sunny, but highs ease back to between 75 and 80 degrees. East northeast winds are expected at 10 to 15 mph.
A few more clouds could arrive Thursday and Friday, though temperatures remain mild. Highs both days are forecast to range from 73 to 79 degrees, with winds generally around 10 to 15 mph.
