Kansas City, MO – Dry weather is forecast across the Kansas City region for the next seven days, while temperatures climb from the 70s this weekend into the 80s later next week.
According to the National Weather Service in Kansas City, seasonable conditions will continue through Monday, with afternoon highs generally in the lower to mid 70s. Temperatures are expected to trend above normal later in the week.
Kansas City is forecast to reach 73 degrees Saturday, 73 Sunday and 70 Monday. Overnight lows during that stretch should range from the upper 40s to around 50 degrees.
A gradual warming trend begins Tuesday, when Kansas City is forecast to reach 76 degrees. Highs then rise to 79 Wednesday, 80 Thursday and 81 Friday, with a forecast high of 82 next Saturday.
Some communities could become warmer. Clinton, Missouri, is forecast to reach 84 Thursday, 85 Friday and 87 next Saturday. Harrisonville could reach 85 next Saturday.
Despite the dry forecast, flooding from earlier rainfall remains a concern. The NWS said multiple River Flood Warnings remain in effect across the region because of previous rainfall.
Drivers should continue to avoid flooded roads and other inundated areas even though no additional rain is forecast during the next seven days. River flooding can persist after rainfall ends as water continues moving through waterways.
Residents should expect seasonable temperatures through Monday, followed by a steady warming trend and highs reaching the low to mid 80s in parts of the region later next week.
