Kansas City, MO – Seasonable fall weather will give way to warmer conditions across the Kansas City region this week, with temperatures reaching the lower 80s and generally dry weather expected.
According to the National Weather Service in Kansas City, temperatures will return to above normal levels by mid to late week. The only rain opportunity highlighted in the outlook is a slight chance Thursday night across northern Missouri.
For the Kansas City area, Monday's forecast calls for a high near 76 degrees and a low around 50. Tuesday warms to about 82, with an overnight low near 61.
Wednesday remains warm with a high near 81 and low around 59. Thursday's high is forecast near 80 before temperatures fall to around 60 overnight.
The warming trend continues late in the week. Kansas City is forecast to reach 82 Friday and 83 Saturday, with lows around 61 both nights. Sunday remains warm with a high near 83 and low around 65.
Temperatures could climb slightly higher elsewhere. Moberly is forecast to reach 84 Sunday, while several communities across Missouri and eastern Kansas reach the lower to middle 80s during the weekend.
The NWS lists only about a 15% to 20% rain chance Thursday night in northern Missouri, with otherwise generally dry conditions during the seven day period.
Separate from the mostly dry forecast, the NWS reports that several points along the Missouri and Grand rivers remain in flood. River conditions can stay elevated even without widespread new rainfall.
Kansas City residents should expect a mostly dry week, with temperatures warming from the 70s Monday into the lower 80s for much of the remainder of the period.
