Minneapolis, MN – Patchy frost across parts of central Minnesota and western Wisconsin will give way to a warmer Monday afternoon, Oct. 5, with temperatures climbing well into the 60s before showers develop in some areas during the evening.
According to the National Weather Service Twin Cities, Monday highs across the forecast area are expected to range from 65 to 70 degrees. Scattered evening showers are likely mainly north of Interstate 94.
A significant warmup follows Tuesday. Highs are forecast to reach 75 to 80 degrees, with breezy conditions and mostly sunny skies.
Wednesday remains breezy but turns somewhat cooler, with highs ranging from 70 to 75 degrees. Mostly sunny conditions are expected.
Temperatures ease further during the second half of the workweek. Thursday will be mostly cloudy with highs of 65 to 70 degrees, followed by mostly sunny conditions Friday and highs between 60 and 65.
The NWS expects generally dry weather to persist into next weekend after Monday evening's shower chances. The agency also expects warmer temperatures to return beyond the late week cooldown.
For Monday, residents should expect any patchy morning frost to quickly become less of a concern as temperatures rise. The next weather change comes during the evening, when scattered showers are most likely north of I 94, followed by warmer and breezier conditions Tuesday.
