Minneapolis, MN – The Twin Cities will stay dry and mostly sunny through Friday, Oct. 9, with the warmest weather arriving Tuesday as temperatures climb well into the 70s.
The National Weather Service Twin Cities said Sunday that warm, dry conditions and plenty of sunshine are expected throughout the upcoming workweek.
Monday starts with a mix of sun and clouds and highs ranging from 62 to 72 degrees across the forecast area. Monday night lows are expected to range from 50 to 55.
Tuesday, Oct. 6, stands out as the warmest day in the five day forecast. Sunshine will accompany highs of 74 to 78 degrees before nighttime temperatures fall into the 45 to 50 degree range.
Temperatures turn somewhat cooler Wednesday, though sunny conditions continue. Highs are forecast from 68 to 72 degrees, followed by overnight lows ranging from 40 to 50.
Thursday and Friday remain dry with mostly sunny skies. Afternoon temperatures both days are forecast to reach 65 to 70 degrees. Thursday night could be the coolest period shown in the outlook, with lows ranging from 40 to 45 degrees.
Temperatures moderate again Friday night, with lows of 50 to 55.
No precipitation or significant weather hazards are indicated in the NWS five day outlook.
For Minneapolis and the broader Twin Cities region, Tuesday's push into the mid to upper 70s will be the week's warmest period before temperatures settle back into the 60s to around 70 through Friday.
