Minneapolis, Minnesota – Sunshine dominates Wednesday before clouds return and rain chances increase late Wednesday night into Thursday across Minnesota.
According to the National Weather Service Twin Cities, most of the region will see sunshine Wednesday, while clouds linger across western Minnesota. High temperatures will range from 64 to 67 degrees.
Clouds spread back across the area Wednesday night as the next opportunity for rain develops. Showers are expected across Minnesota Thursday, with the best chances during the morning.
Thursday will also be cooler, with highs ranging from 60 to 65 degrees. Drivers in the Minneapolis St. Paul area should prepare for possible wet roads during the morning commute, though the Weather Service information does not indicate heavy rainfall or flooding.
Friday remains mostly cloudy with highs from 65 to 68 degrees. Another round of rain then develops Friday night and continues into Saturday.
Periods of showers are possible throughout Saturday, with temperatures reaching 62 to 68 degrees. People with weekend travel, sporting events or other outdoor plans should account for intermittent rain.
Conditions trend somewhat warmer Sunday despite lingering clouds. Highs are expected to range from 68 to 72 degrees.
The overall pattern favors seasonable temperatures with opportunities for light rain every couple of days. The first change arrives late Wednesday night, followed by Thursday morning showers and another wetter period from Friday night through Saturday.
