DULUTH, MN – Northern Minnesota residents face a colder Thursday night as temperatures fall into the upper teens and 20s, with lake effect snow possible along portions of Lake Superior before a significant warming trend arrives this weekend.
According to the National Weather Service in Duluth, widespread rainfall will exit the Northland Thursday, November 5, ending several days of wet conditions. Colder air moving into the region could produce lake effect snow showers Thursday evening into the overnight hours.

Some clearing is possible later Thursday as the departing weather system moves away.

The National Weather Service indicates that lake effect snow showers could develop in the snowbelt areas around Iron County, Wisconsin, particularly along the south shore of Lake Superior.
However, little to no snow accumulation is expected.
