ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — Oakland County investigators are asking additional potential victims to come forward after a massage therapist was arrested on a felony criminal sexual conduct charge involving an alleged assault during a spa appointment.
According to the Oakland County Sheriff 's Office, Nathan Adam Thornsberry, 44, of North Branch in Lapeer County, was charged with one count of third degree criminal sexual conduct following an investigation that began in August 2026.
Investigation Leads to Arrest at Another Spa Authorities said a woman reported that Thornsberry allegedly sexually assaulted her during a scheduled massage appointment at a Rochester Hills spa where he was employed.
The Oakland County Prosecutor's Office authorized the felony charge Oct. 28.
On Oct. 29, members of the Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Team located and arrested Thornsberry at another spa in Shelby Township, where he had reportedly begun working.
Thornsberry was arraigned Oct. 30 in 53 2 District Court. A magistrate set his bond at $10,000 with a 10% cash or surety provision.
Sheriff Seeks Additional Potential Victims In a Friday, Nov. 6, announcement, investigators revealed that several additional individuals had contacted authorities with allegations of inappropriate sexual contact involving Thornsberry.
Deputies are investigating those reports and believe other potential victims may not yet have contacted law enforcement.
Sheriff Michael Bouchard urged anyone with similar experiences to speak with investigators.
"If there are any other victims out there, please contact us so we can hold him fully to account," Bouchard said.
Authorities are encouraging anyone who believes they experienced inappropriate sexual contact or misconduct involving Thornsberry, whether in Rochester Hills or elsewhere, to report it.
Anyone with information should contact the Oakland County Sheriff's Office Rochester Hills Substation at 248 537 3530.
Third degree criminal sexual conduct carries a potential prison sentence of up to 15 years under Michigan law.
The investigation remains ongoing. Thornsberry is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
