Oxford: Search and Rescue Team Rescues Worker in Trench Collapse
Emergency crews successfully rescued a 50 year old worker trapped in a trench collapse in Oxford Township. The Oakland County Sheriff's team assisted today.

Pontiac, MI – A 50 year old worker was successfully rescued following a trench collapse in Oxford Township on September 2, 2026. The emergency operation required a coordinated effort to secure the site and safely recover the individual trapped beneath the debris.
According to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, the Sheriff's Search and Rescue Team was deployed to assist the Oxford Fire Department during the incident. Officials worked throughout the day on September 2, 2026, to ensure the worker was extricated safely from the collapsed structure.
