Grand Rapids, MI – West Michigan residents can expect an extended stretch of sunshine and mild fall temperatures heading into Saturday, October 24, with afternoon highs reaching the upper 60s across Grand Rapids. However, overnight temperatures will remain considerably cooler, and a gradual cooldown is expected to develop early next week.
According to the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids, sunny skies and highs between 65 and 68 degrees are forecast from Wednesday through Saturday. The outlook offers several consecutive days of favorable conditions for outdoor activities, weekend travel and fall events across the Grand Rapids area of Kent County.
The forecast also reflects a broader warming pattern developing across portions of the central United States, where above normal temperatures are expected to continue into the weekend.
Sunshine and Mild Temperatures Continue For residents across Grand Rapids and surrounding West Michigan communities, the most noticeable weather feature will be the consistency of the afternoon temperatures.
Despite chilly early mornings, sunshine is expected to help temperatures recover into the 60s each day through the weekend.
At Gerald R. Ford International Airport, temperatures were approximately 41 degrees early Wednesday morning, illustrating the difference between overnight conditions and afternoon warmth.
The National Weather Service forecast does not indicate measurable rainfall through Sunday for the Grand Rapids forecast location.
