The approaching system brings a 70% chance of precipitation Monday night, potentially affecting early commuters and school transportation Tuesday, Oct. 13.
According to the National Weather Service, showers become likely after 5 a.m. Tuesday, with thunderstorms also possible during the early morning hours.
Rain chances remain elevated at 60% Tuesday, with showers likely through early afternoon.
Drivers traveling Interstate 75 and other roads throughout Otsego County should prepare for potentially slick pavement and reduced visibility during heavier rainfall.
The wet weather also marks a significant temperature change across northern Michigan.
Sunday, Oct. 11, offers partly sunny skies that gradually become sunnier, with afternoon temperatures reaching approximately 74 degrees.
Monday, Oct. 12, remains mostly cloudy but warm, with highs near 75 degrees and southerly winds between 5 and 10 mph.
Conditions deteriorate Monday night as showers develop and thunderstorms become possible. Overnight temperatures remain near 55 degrees.
Tuesday brings noticeably cooler weather, with afternoon highs reaching only 63 degrees.
