Detroit, MI – Southeast Michigan is getting a break from humid and rainy conditions Thursday, with a dry stretch expected to carry through the weekend as afternoon temperatures gradually climb.
According to the National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac office, Thursday will be less humid with no rain expected. Afternoon temperatures are forecast to reach the mid to upper 70s across much of the region, setting up comfortable conditions for travel and outdoor activities.
Detroit is expected to reach around 78 degrees Thursday, while Ann Arbor and Adrian also reach about 78. Flint and Pontiac are forecast near 76, with Saginaw around 77. Cooler conditions are expected closer to Lake Huron and the Thumb, including a high near 74 in Bad Axe.
Friday brings plenty of sunshine, with afternoon highs ranging from 75 to 78 degrees. Morning temperatures could provide a noticeably cool start, dropping between 48 and 56 degrees across Southeast Michigan.
The warming trend becomes more apparent Saturday. Highs are forecast between 80 and 83 degrees, with morning lows from 56 to 62. Partly sunny skies are expected.
Sunday remains dry and mild, with a mix of sunshine and clouds. High temperatures are forecast between 76 and 81 degrees after morning lows ranging from 60 to 66.
The forecast means Detroit, Ann Arbor, Flint, Pontiac and surrounding communities should have favorable weather for weekend events, road trips and other outdoor plans. No rain is indicated in the National Weather Service outlook through Sunday.
