Detroit, MI – Southeast Michigan is heading into a warmer Saturday, with temperatures reaching the mid to upper 70s before rain chances return Sunday, particularly across the southeasternmost parts of the region.
According to the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac, Friday, Oct. 9, will remain dry and sunny, with afternoon highs ranging from 65 to 71 degrees. Temperatures are expected to stay near seasonal averages before a noticeable warmup arrives Saturday.
A few isolated light showers could develop late Friday night into early Saturday morning. Overnight temperatures are forecast to range from 46 to 56 degrees.
Saturday, Oct. 10, will bring the warmest temperatures of the period, with highs reaching 73 to 77 degrees across the forecast area. Any showers are expected to be isolated and light.
Conditions will change Sunday, Oct. 11, as increasing cloud cover accompanies another chance of rain. The National Weather Service says precipitation will be focused on southeasternmost areas of Michigan and tied to the remnants of Isaias.
Sunday temperatures are forecast to reach 65 to 70 degrees, with morning lows between 55 and 58 degrees.
By Monday, Oct. 12, mostly sunny skies are expected to return, with afternoon highs climbing to 72 to 76 degrees. Morning temperatures will range from 49 to 56 degrees.
