Dearborn police arrested four men on May 6, 2025, after uncovering a major theft ring involving stolen Ford vehicle parts. The individuals are accused of operating an unauthorized resale network, allegedly moving high value components taken from production facilities and vehicles.
Authorities initiated the investigation following reports of discrepancies in parts inventory and suspicious activities near local logistics hubs. The operation, which involved months of surveillance and inter agency cooperation, culminated in the execution of search warrants at several industrial storage units across the Dearborn area.
During the raids, police recovered a significant quantity of specialized automotive components, including catalytic converters, engine control modules, and other sensitive hardware. Investigators believe the group was systematically stealing parts and selling them to third party vendors and via online marketplaces to avoid detection.
All four suspects were taken into custody without incident and are currently facing multiple charges related to organized retail crime and possession of stolen property. The department expects the charges to be upgraded as the investigation continues to trace the network of buyers involved in the resale scheme.
