Norwood, MA – Police in Norfolk County are searching for a driver who fled after striking two pedestrians in Norwood on Saturday evening, October 24, 2026. Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital as investigators asked residents to help identify a vehicle believed to have been involved.
According to the Norwood Police Department , officers responded to the intersection of Washington Street and Day Street at approximately 6:30 p.m. Saturday following reports of a motor vehicle crash involving two pedestrians.
Authorities said the driver left the scene without stopping to provide assistance or identify themselves, continuing southbound on Washington Street.
Police Searching for Damaged SUV Investigators are looking for a gray or black SUV, possibly an older Honda Pilot, that may have sustained damage to one or both headlights during the collision.
Police have not confirmed the vehicle's make or model and are asking residents to watch for SUVs matching the description.
The incident occurred in Norwood, a Norfolk County community southwest of Boston, along Washington Street.
Authorities have not released the identities, ages or medical conditions of the two pedestrians. Both were transported to a nearby hospital following the crash.
