Baltimore County Police are investigating an officer involved shooting in Middle River, MD, after a woman armed with a firearm was critically injured.

Middle River, MD – The Baltimore County Police Department is investigating an officer involved shooting that occurred on the 1000 block of Carroll Island Road.
According to the Baltimore County Police Department, officers engaged with an armed female subject who produced a firearm during the encounter. The subject was subsequently transported to a hospital with a life threatening injury.
The officer involved in the incident has been placed on administrative leave, which is standard procedure during such investigations. No further details regarding the individual or the circumstances of the encounter have been released at this time.
