Louisville, Kentucky – Clouds and highs near 70 dominate Wednesday, with showers favoring areas east of Louisville before drier weather returns.
According to the National Weather Service in Louisville, scattered showers are possible Wednesday in areas east of the U.S. 27/127 corridor. The best chance for rain will be along the Interstate 75 corridor, where probabilities range from 50% to 70%.
Louisville and communities farther west should have lower rain chances. Drivers heading east toward the I 75 corridor should be prepared for showers that could affect portions of their trips, while the rest of the region remains cloudy.
Temperatures across the Weather Service coverage area will range from 67 to 72 degrees Wednesday, giving the region an early taste of fall. Patchy fog and mist could also develop during the morning commute, potentially reducing visibility in spots.
Conditions begin to change Thursday as the region becomes drier. Highs climb into the 72 to 77 degree range under partly cloudy skies.
Friday brings another increase in temperatures and more sunshine. Highs are expected to range from 73 to 79 degrees across the area.
The drier pattern is expected to continue through the remainder of the week and into the weekend. Wednesday carries the primary rain opportunity, particularly along the I 75 corridor, while commuters should also watch for patches of morning fog and mist through the week.
