The coldest conditions could threaten sensitive outdoor plants as the region experiences another chilly fall weekend.

However, temperatures will drop significantly overnight, with lows forecast between 30 and 37 degrees across the region.
Frost and Freeze Conditions Expected Sunday Morning
The National Weather Service warns that frost or freezing temperatures are expected across the area early Sunday, October 18.
The coldest locations could experience temperatures below 32 degrees, potentially damaging sensitive vegetation, outdoor flowers and unprotected garden plants.
Residents in Louisville, Jefferson County, Lexington and surrounding communities should pay close attention to local frost advisories and freeze warnings, as temperatures and alert coverage will vary by location.
Gardeners are encouraged to bring potted plants indoors or cover sensitive vegetation before temperatures fall Saturday evening.

The forecast calls for continued sunshine and generally cool fall conditions into early next week.
For residents across the Louisville region, the immediate concern remains Saturday night's temperature drop.
Those with sensitive plants or outdoor plumbing should take precautions before bedtime, especially in locations forecast to reach freezing.
