Wichita, KS – Above normal warmth and dry weather will persist across central, south central and southeast Kansas through Saturday, Oct. 10, with afternoon temperatures reaching well into the 80s each day.
According to the National Weather Service in Wichita, Wednesday will be sunny with highs ranging from 84 to 89 degrees across its forecast area. Overnight lows are expected between 57 and 62 degrees.
Little temperature change is expected Thursday. Mostly sunny skies will accompany highs of 83 to 88 degrees, followed by nighttime temperatures from 59 to 63.
Friday turns sunny again, with afternoon highs ranging from 84 to 88 degrees. Overnight lows will remain mild for October, generally between 60 and 64 degrees.
Saturday brings the most noticeable change in conditions as winds increase. The NWS expects breezy weather, although the outlook does not provide specific wind speeds or gusts. Temperatures remain warm, with highs from 83 to 87 degrees and lows from 60 to 64.
The NWS describes temperatures through the period as above normal, but the outlook does not indicate record highs or other temperature hazards. No precipitation is shown through Saturday.
