Davenport, IA – The Quad Cities area will see a mostly dry and pleasant start to the workweek Oct. 5 8, with highs reaching the 70s before a limited rain risk returns.
The National Weather Service Quad Cities said Sunday that dry weather is expected for much of the coming workweek. Although rain is possible Thursday night into Friday, forecasters expect the vast majority of the area to remain dry.
Monday will be sunny, with highs ranging from 65 to 70 degrees across the forecast area. Monday night should remain clear, with lows of 44 to 50.
Temperatures climb Tuesday under sunny skies. Afternoon highs are forecast to range from 71 to 76 degrees, followed by a considerably milder night with lows between 53 and 57.
Wednesday could be the warmest day shown in the NWS workweek outlook, with partly cloudy skies and highs ranging from 71 to 77 degrees. Temperatures Wednesday night are forecast to fall into the 47 to 54 degree range.
Thursday should remain generally pleasant, with a mix of sun and clouds and highs of 67 to 74 degrees.
The next weather change to watch arrives Thursday night into Friday, when the NWS indicates a risk of rain. However, forecasters emphasize that most locations are expected to stay dry, so rainfall is far from certain.
For the Quad Cities, the main story through midweek is a quiet early October stretch with comfortable afternoons in the 60s and 70s. Attention turns to the limited rain opportunity late Thursday into Friday.
