South Bend, Indiana – A soggy weather pattern is developing for northern Indiana as rain chances increase significantly through the middle and end of the week. While showers will be scattered on Wednesday, particularly north of US 30, rain will become widespread across the entire region by Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service Northern Indiana , precipitation chances range from 40% to 80% during this period. Highs will fluctuate between 66 and 83 degrees as this wet system moves through, creating potentially difficult driving conditions during peak rainfall hours on Thursday.
Commuters should plan for reduced visibility and wet road surfaces throughout the end of the week. Ensure that vehicle maintenance is up to date and allow for extra travel time during the wetter periods later this week.
