Indianapolis Children's Museum Closed for Upgrades This Month
The Children's Museum of Indianapolis will temporarily close from Sept 14 25, 2026 for building system upgrades. Normal operations resume September 26.

Indianapolis, IN – The Children's Museum of Indianapolis is temporarily closing its doors to the public to facilitate significant facility improvements. Both the main building and the associated sports park will remain inaccessible to visitors beginning September 14, 2026, as crews perform essential building system upgrades.
According to The Children's Museum of Indianapolis, the closure is scheduled to last through September 25, 2026. The institution plans to resume normal operations on September 26, 2026. Officials confirmed that the museum will celebrate its reopening by debuting a newly reimagined exhibit for guests.
