Indianapolis, IN — Residents across central Indiana can expect a stretch of dry, sunny weather from Thursday, Oct. 22, through Sunday, Oct. 25, with afternoon temperatures climbing into the 70s. However, patchy morning fog could create reduced visibility for some drivers Thursday and Friday before sunshine takes over.
According to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis, a pleasant weather pattern will continue through the latter half of the week and into the weekend, bringing seasonably cool mornings followed by warmer afternoons.
Thursday begins with patchy fog across portions of central Indiana before skies become sunny. Afternoon temperatures are forecast to reach between 69 and 74 degrees, while overnight lows will fall between 41 and 45 degrees.
Friday will bring another chance of patchy early morning fog, followed by plentiful sunshine. High temperatures should range from 68 to 72 degrees, with overnight lows between 41 and 44 degrees.
Drivers traveling during the early morning hours Thursday and Friday should remain alert for localized visibility reductions, particularly in areas where fog develops.
By Saturday, mostly sunny skies are expected across the region, with afternoon highs between 69 and 73 degrees. Overnight temperatures will again cool into the lower and middle 40s.
Sunday could be the warmest day of the four day period, with temperatures climbing between 72 and 75 degrees under skies featuring only a few clouds.
The extended stretch of dry weather should provide favorable conditions for outdoor activities, fall festivals, yardwork and weekend travel across Indianapolis and surrounding central Indiana communities.
Despite the comfortable afternoons, residents heading outdoors early in the morning may want a jacket as temperatures remain in the 40s.
No significant rainfall is indicated in the National Weather Service's four day outlook through Sunday.
