FORT WAYNE, Ind. — November will begin unusually mild across northeast Indiana, with Fort Wayne temperatures reaching 70 degrees Sunday and climbing to around 75 Tuesday before showers and possible thunderstorms sweep through Wednesday.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for a high near 70 Sunday, Nov. 1 , with only a slight chance of sprinkles during the morning. Sunday night stays mild near 53 before Monday reaches around 66 with a small afternoon shower chance.
75° Warmth Peaks Tuesday Monday night remains mild near 56, setting up the warmest day of the current forecast.
Tuesday, Nov. 3, turns partly sunny with a high near 75 degrees . That creates a striking early November run of 70 Sunday, 66 Monday and 75 Tuesday across Fort Wayne.
Rain chances begin increasing Tuesday night, with a 50% chance of showers after 1 a.m. Temperatures fall only to around 60.
The warm start also fits NOAA’s broader Great Lakes and Midwest outlook, which keeps above normal temperatures favored through Nov. 14 .
Showers, Thunderstorms Arrive Wednesday Wednesday, Nov. 4, becomes the most active weather day in the current forecast.
The Weather Service calls for showers and possibly a thunderstorm , with precipitation chances reaching 80% . The high remains relatively mild near 71.
Showers remain likely Wednesday night with a 60% rain chance before conditions gradually improve Thursday. Thursday carries a 40% shower chance with a high near 67.
By Friday, temperatures ease to around 63 with a 30% rain chance. Saturday turns partly sunny with a high near 61.
That gives Fort Wayne a clear first week progression: 70 Sunday, 75 Tuesday, widespread rain Wednesday, then gradually cooler 60s from Nov. 5–7.
Warm, Drier Signal Nov. 8–14 The wetter midweek stretch may not represent the second week pattern.
NOAA’s Nov. 8–14 precipitation outlook favors below normal precipitation across a broad region extending through parts of the Great Lakes and Midwest , creating the potential for a warmer but quieter second week.
That does not mean Fort Wayne will stay completely dry or unusually warm every day. CPC guidance describes average temperature and total precipitation tendencies across the period.
As Thanksgiving and holiday travel season approach, the larger November question remains: how long can this warmth keep northeast Indiana’s first sustained taste of winter waiting?
