Aurora, IN – An Aurora woman faces a felony charge after her arrest today for allegedly battering a juvenile child. The investigation led by Master Trooper Ben Bastin of the Indiana State Police-Versailles Post began on March 13, when the Department of Child Services alerted authorities about the incident that occurred that morning at a residence in Aurora.

According to the Indiana State Police, during interviews with DCS workers and the victim, the child was found to have visible injuries. The suspect, identified as 50-year-old Amy R. Katenbrink of Aurora, was arrested at her home without incident following the issuance of a warrant by the Dearborn County Prosecutor’s Office.

Katenbrink, who is now facing a Level 5 felony charge for battery on a child resulting in bodily injury, has been incarcerated at the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center pending her initial court appearance.
