Indianapolis, IN – Across Indiana, an alarming series of bomb threats was directed at 40 school districts this Monday, causing evacuations and a state-wide response.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office detailed that the initial threat emerged at a school corporation, leading to a cascade of similar threats throughout the state. Prompt action included the deployment of bomb detection canines, and subsequent searches revealed no actual explosives.

In the wake of the threats, students were temporarily moved to secure locations, returning to their schools later in the day as law enforcement continued to investigate the situation.

The public has been asked to contribute any information they might have to assist in the investigation.
