Urbana, Illinois – The University of Illinois Police Department has launched an investigation following the discovery of a deceased individual on campus early Monday, September 28, 2026. The discovery was made at approximately 6:42 a.m. near the site of the iconic Alma Mater statue, located at the intersection of Green and Wright streets in Urbana.
