Ullin, IL – Illinois residents seeking assistance with Firearm Owner's Identification cards and concealed carry licenses now have another option for in person help as Illinois State Police expand their application support services across the state.
According to Illinois State Police Troop 10, a new FOID assistance kiosk has opened at the agency's headquarters in Ullin, providing real time assistance to individuals experiencing difficulties with the state's online firearm identification and concealed carry licensing systems.
The kiosk is intended to help residents who have trouble navigating the online application process or lack reliable internet access.
New FOID and Concealed Carry Assistance Location
The new kiosk is located at Illinois State Police Troop 10 headquarters, 1154 Shawnee College Road, Ullin, IL 62992.
Regular operating hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m.
The service provides an additional location where Illinois residents can receive assistance with FOID cards and Concealed Carry Licenses, commonly known as CCLs.
Other Illinois Kiosk Locations and Closures
Illinois State Police currently offers additional FOID assistance kiosks in Springfield, Du Quoin and Effingham.
However, not all previously available locations are operating.
According to the agency, the Collinsville kiosk is temporarily closed until spring 2027, while the Lockport kiosk is expected to reopen during winter.
Residents who previously relied on those locations should check availability before traveling.
What Illinois Gun Owners Should Know
Illinois generally requires eligible residents to obtain a valid FOID card to legally possess firearms or ammunition, subject to applicable exceptions.
A separate Concealed Carry License is required for eligible individuals seeking to carry concealed firearms in public under state law.
The new kiosk does not change existing firearm licensing requirements but provides additional assistance for navigating the application process.
Residents can find current kiosk locations, application information and service updates through the official Illinois State Police FOID website.
