Areas north of I 72 are particularly vulnerable, with total precipitation amounts expected to reach 1 to 3 inches.
According to the National Weather Service Central Illinois , temperatures will be warm on Wednesday with highs into the 80s, but a noticeable cooling trend follows. By Friday through Sunday, highs will drop significantly into the upper 60s and lower 70s.
