Orland Park, IL – Families, businesses and community groups looking to participate in a local holiday tradition have a limited opportunity to reserve a Christmas tree for just $25 as Orland Park prepares for its annual Community Tree Trimming Event.
According to Orland Park Recreation, the popular seasonal program is approaching, and available trees are being claimed quickly. Residents are encouraged to gather family members and friends to decorate a tree that will become part of the community's holiday display.
$25 Includes a 5 to 6 Foot Holiday Tree
The annual event takes place at Village Green, located at 14700 S. Ravinia Ave. in Orland Park, a southwest Chicago suburb in Cook County.
For $25, participants can adopt a tree measuring approximately 5 to 6 feet tall.
Trees come with lights, although participants are responsible for supplying their own decorations, whether handmade or purchased.
Residents may also bring their own LED lights if they prefer.
The village will provide lights for participants who do not have their own.
November 28 Deadline Approaching
All tree decorating must be completed by noon Saturday, November 28.
Participants will then have until Monday, January 4, 2027, to remove their decorations.
Orland Park Recreation also encourages social organizations and nonprofit groups to partner with local businesses to co sponsor trees, creating opportunities for community involvement during the holiday season.
The event offers families and organizations a chance to contribute to a festive public display while celebrating the season together.
However, organizers emphasize that tree availability is limited, and reservations are filling quickly.
Residents interested in participating should contact Orland Park Recreation or consult the village's official event announcement for registration information.
With the November decorating deadline approaching, those hoping to secure a tree are encouraged to act early.
