Mokena, IL – Drivers traveling through Mokena in Will County are being urged to avoid a section of Townline Road Tuesday afternoon after a gas line break forced police to close traffic in both directions near Francis Road.
According to the Mokena Police Department , the closure affects Townline Road just south of Francis Road, where both northbound and southbound lanes have been shut down because of the damaged gas line.
The road will remain closed until further notice , police said in their Tuesday, Nov. 3, traffic alert.
The disruption could affect motorists traveling through the surrounding area, particularly those using Townline Road to connect with nearby residential streets and local destinations.
